A Cinderella Story: Chicago Marathon, 2012
Scene: cheering just before 30k, at about mile 18. Sign reads, ”My arms are tired — how are your legs?” Male runner in very apparent pain runs past us, stops, and walks back to us.
Him: I’ll massage your arms if you massage my legs.
Brenna and Beachy look at each other and nod heads simultaneously.
Brenna: Deal. Done. Okay. Where does it hurt?
Beachy: Do you want our numbers? Yes?
